Remembered some old drawings and felt like trying again. (When I looked for said early pieces, they looked quite different.) I'm enjoying these crazy buildings. I like to imagine who lives there.

Apple Picking
What glorious days for apple picking! Here is the Queen and her own tree. (Each apple picked is a victory over squirrels!)

Sketch Club
Sketch Club at Sage. Great session with Lorenzo, a king-like model. Too bad they still had the AC on! It was freezing. Good there were many heaters for the model.

Blue Garden
This was a pretext to play with watercolor. This is one of the reasons I really enjoy this drawing-a-day: sometimes I just try things with no concern about the result.

4 Trees # 3
Another version of the 4 trees. Staying with the blue harmony and playing with material: collage, colored pencils, gouache and watercolor.
Note to Child
Trouble with Blogger and couldn't post last night. Here is my drawing for yesterday: Note to Child. (More fun to draw a bird than a computer.)

4 Trees #2
A second version of the 4 Trees. I wanted to try a color harmony with watercolor. I like this theme.

Onward!
With September just here, and school starting, it feels like a good time for new beginnings. ONWARD!
submission to ACG
Last week, I dropped my submission to Albany Center Gallery for their general call for art. I've done that many times with no success. I submitted an installation idea, using my morning meditation drawings from last year. I call it Meditation in Pen and Ink (or Long Thing for short.)

4 Trees
This is inspired by a series of small sculptures of trees in Carrie Haddad Gallery. Wish I remembered the name of the artist. The trees weren't part of the show. They were at the counter. I loved them.
