Being a mother is very hard.  At least for me.  Moments like these are rarer than they used to be.  I cherish the memory.  And when they still occur.

Fatherhood

 

My brother David is a brand-new dad and watching him was inspiring.  (This doesn't look like him or like his baby and is not trying to.  They are both much more handsome.)

 Life felt stressful that morning.  Drew something gentle and peaceful:  A Little Visit.

This drawing came after leafing through my art book on Medieval Bestiary.   And finding the animal hiding in each random shape.  Of course the Birds had to be there!  I had fun with this one.  May do it again.

I always enjoy coming across a drawing or painting of a tree-man.  My turn to try.

 The Automaton Museum in Paris was not what I expected.  No fancy life-like machinery.  A collection of moving toys really.  Still it was great fun.  This drawing is inspired by some of the amusing animated toys.
