The body of the little leader looks like a sideways bookshelf to me.  I like to think of following an educated leader who puts value in books, reading, the Arts, ethics.

This ancient piece from the National Museum of Handiwork  is a favorite of Mrs. Aplux and has inspired many of her own pieces.

Here is a sample from Mrs. Aplux's early embroidery work.  It was inspired from a piece she saw at the National Museum of Handiwork that I will post tomorrow.

Here is Mrs. Aplux again.  Having acquired some hair.  On her way to the library (to get a new comics, of course.)  Themes explored with the queen are re-visited with this odd little character.  I find her less intimidating and hope to develop her story little by little.
