Was going to take a weekend break.  But this one was next in line and Sunday is mother's day...  

Mr. Tree

I always enjoy coming across a drawing or painting of a tree-man.  My turn to try.

 The Automaton Museum in Paris was not what I expected.  No fancy life-like machinery.  A collection of moving toys really.  Still it was great fun.  This drawing is inspired by some of the amusing animated toys.

A second drawing from a detail of one of Vivian Maier's photographs.  There will be more.  I am intrigued by the possibilities of using the same basic inspiration and go from there.  (pen and ink and colored pencils.)
